Appointment and swearing-in of the local councillors
Farewell to the long-standing head of Einsiedel
At the beginning of the Chemnitz City Council meeting yesterday, the local councillors elected from among the respective local councillors in the 2014 local council elections for the Chemnitz localities of Einsiedel, Euba, Klaffenbach, Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain, Mittelbach, Röhrsdorf and Wittgensdorf were appointed and ceremoniously sworn in:
Einsiedel: Falk Ulbrich
Euba: Thomas Groß
Klaffenbach: Andreas Stoppke
Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain: Bernd Gerlach
Mittelbach: Gunter Fix
Röhrsdorf: Hans-Joachim Siegel
Wittgensdorf: Dr Ullrich Müller
The certificates of appointment were presented by City Treasurer Berthold Brehm, who chaired the city council meeting yesterday on behalf of the Lord Mayor.
Dr Lutz Neubert, who was elected as the new local councillor by the members of the Grüna local council, was unable to attend the meeting, so his appointment and swearing-in will take place at a later date.
Prior to the appointment and swearing-in of the new local councillors, Dr Peter Neubert, who had served as local councillor of Einsiedel since 2007, was bid farewell from his honorary office. City Treasurer Berthold Brehm thanked Neubert for his many years of commitment to Einsiedel and honoured the achievements of the former mayor.
