Apply for a resident parking permit online
Since this week, Chemnitz residents have been able to apply for their resident parking permit conveniently online after registering their dog and using Kultur.Sichtbar I+II as a further online service.(see separate press release no. 117/2021: "Car park concept stage 1 is being implemented")
The online application assistant "Resident Parking" not only replaces the previous paper and/or PDF forms, but also helps to speed up the essential checking tasks of the clerks in the responsible authorities. In addition, the online application assistant transfers the application with all attached supporting documents to a specialised municipal procedure.
In addition to the free digital service account, the eID function of the new ID card is also used for authentication and proof of identity in this new online procedure.
As part of the implementation of its Digital Agenda, the City of Chemnitz has been gradually modernising all suitable services and administrative processes internally and externally since last year. The aim is to ensure that online processes can be used via a standardised administrative portal in a legally compliant and data protection-compliant manner. Not only will the data be recorded in a standardised and digital format, but the data will also be processed without media discontinuity in the corresponding distributed specialist procedures and in the city-wide electronic file management system. The City of Chemnitz has drawn up a roadmap for the TOP50 services for the online procedures, which will be implemented step by step.
The "resident parking" service is a further building block in the implementation of the Online Access Act (OZG). It obliges the federal, state and local authorities to offer all suitable administrative services in Germany digitally via administrative portals and to link their administrative portals to form a network. In Saxony, a joint project approach is being implemented between the Free State and its municipalities. In future, citizens, companies and associations will be able to access online administrative services via the Saxon cross-administrative service portal "Amt24"(www.amt24.sachsen.de).
Further online services are currently being developed in the Saxony-wide joint project involving Komm24, the Saxon Institute for Municipal Data Processing (SAKD) and the participating Saxon municipalities.
