Application for maintenance advance also possible online
Social benefit can be applied for via service portal
From now on, applications for advance maintenance payments from the City of Chemnitz can also be submitted online via the Amt24 online portal. The application for maintenance advance can be accessed via the following link: www.chemnitz.de/unterhaltsvorschuss.
The maintenance advance is a social benefit from the state that serves to secure the maintenance entitlement of children. Children of single mothers or fathers are entitled to it if the other parent does not pay any maintenance or pays less than the minimum maintenance and if the child lives in Chemnitz.
The "Online application for advance maintenance payments" service is a further building block in the implementation of the Online Access Act (OZG). This law obliges the federal and state governments to offer all suitable administrative services in Germany digitally via administrative portals and to link their administrative portals to form a network. In Saxony, the Free State and its local authorities are working together on a joint project to achieve this.
Citizens, companies and associations can use the Saxon cross-administration service portal Amt24 www.amt24.sachsen.de to access online services from the administration. The prerequisite for using all services is at least the one-time and free registration and creation of a service account (item "My service account") on the Amt24 service portal.
All administrative services of the City of Chemnitz can be accessed via the service portal at www.chemnitz.de/dienstleistungsportal.
