Annual financial statements 2021 confirmed by city council
At its meeting today, the City Council adopted the 2021 annual financial statements with a positive overall result of 49 million euros. The City Council adopted the budget bylaws for 2021 on 31 March 2021.
Despite the restrictions resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, the result of the 2021 annual financial statements documents a positive budget performance. The result was also improved in the 2021 financial year compared to the plan.
The improvement in the result is primarily due to non-cash income, also as a result of the positive development of the municipal companies.
Lower expenses were recorded for subsidies to affiliated companies at 10.4 million euros and social transfer expenses, also at 10 million euros.
Additional income was generated in particular from trade tax at 11.2 million euros.
The level of debt from investment loans was reduced to 100.9 million euros in 2021, i.e. per capita debt is 412 euros/capita. Debt will increase again in the coming years.
