Annoying cookies - you don't have to savour everything!
Adult education centre: Lecture on 11 April, from 6 to 7.30 pm, TIETZ, Room 4.07
On Tuesday, 11 April, from 6 to 7.30 p.m., the adult education centre invites interested parties to the event "Annoying cookies - you don't have to accept everything!".
On the Internet, we click away dialogue messages almost as a matter of course and are literally forced to accept so-called cookies. What is behind cookies and what are they used for? What are necessary cookies and what should users be aware of?
Participation is free of charge. Registration is possible by telephone on 0371 488 4343 or online at www.vhs-chemnitz.de/kurs/S231M320.
In a presentation, the Saxony Consumer Centre will explain the different types of cookies and the consequences of accepting them with a single click. The presentation will explain what cookies are necessary and what happens if you reject them. Tips will be given on how users can deactivate or delete cookies.
The event is part of the media literacy project "trau.schau.wem? faktenfest und mediensicher" and takes place in cooperation with the Consumer Advice Centre Saxony and with the support of the Saxon State Media Authority (SLM).
