Anne Rabe: "The possibility of happiness"

On Thursday, 1 February at 7 pm, Chemnitz City Library invites interested parties to a reading followed by a discussion at the Neue Sächsische Galerie in the TIETZ. The author Anne Rabe will read from her novel "The Possibility of Happiness". The event will be moderated by Lucia Schaub. Admission costs 6 euros, concessions 4 euros.
Anne Rabe has been dealing with the topic of coming to terms with the past in East Germany for several years. She has turned her family history into a highly acclaimed novel. "The Possibility of Happiness" was shortlisted for the German Book Prize in 2023.

The author:
Anne Rabe, born in 1986, is a playwright, screenwriter and essayist. Her theatre plays have won several awards. As a screenwriter, she was part of the cult series "Warten auf'n Bus". For several years, she has also appeared as an essayist and lecturer on coming to terms with the past in East Germany. Anne Rabe lives in Berlin.
