Annaberg-Buchholz control centre integrated into IRLS Chemnitz
Following the commissioning of the integrated regional control centre (IRLS) for fire and rescue services in Chemnitz in March 2017, the current control centre in Annaberg-Buchholz will be connected to the Chemnitz IRLS on 1 March 2018.
With the connection, all emergency calls for fire and rescue services (112) from the former district of Annaberg-Buchholz will be routed to the IRLS Chemnitz. Requests for ambulance transport from this area are also received by the Chemnitz IRLS under the telephone number (0371) 19222.
Apart from the dialling code for the ambulance number, nothing will change for people seeking help and callers as a result of the switchover. As is now the case at the Annaberg-Buchholz control centre, emergency calls and ambulance requests will then be answered around the clock at the Chemnitz IRLS.
In addition, the dispatchers at the Annaberg-Buchholz control centre, together with the colleagues already on duty at the Chemnitz IRLS, will then also alert the rescue services, fire brigades and disaster control helpers required for the operation and support them in the operation.
The switchover of emergency calls and ambulance requests from the area of the former Aue-Schwarzenberg district to the Chemnitz IRLS is expected to take place in April 2018. The exact date will be announced in a separate communication.
