Animal park festival in the grounds on Nevoigtstraße
Families and all other animal and nature lovers should make a note of the date of the traditional zoo festival at the facility on Nevoigtstraße in Chemnitz . From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday , 8 June and Sunday, 9 June, you can visit the zoo's residents - both the familiar and the new ones, including the youngest offspring of the ibex.
There will also be activities and performances throughout the zoo: On the festival meadow there will be magic and artistry, a bouncy castle and a giant slide. As usual, the organisers have also prepared a programme including stilt walkers, barrel organ players and teddy bear making. Caterers will provide food and drink for visitors to the festival. By the way: every child up to the age of ten receives a free candy floss.
As usual, the members of the zoo supporters' association will also be helping to make the zoo festival a success and will once again have their wheel of fortune at the information stand for visitors.
Advance notice for your visit to the zoo: Please note that Chemnitz Zoo closes at 5 p.m. on the Friday (7 June) before the zoo festival and that the ticket office closes one hour earlier as usual. The reason for this is that the annual "dreamnight at the zoo" event - a charity event for girls and boys with disabilities and their families - is taking place at Chemnitz Zoo that evening.
