Animal park and game enclosure reopen
On Monday, 4 May, Chemnitz Zoo and the Oberrabenstein Wildlife Park will reopen under certain conditions, subject to the decision of the state of Saxony on the Corona Protection Ordinance.
The animal houses at the zoo, such as the tropical house, marmoset house and vivarium, will remain closed for the time being. The accessible facilities, such as the petting enclosure, cannot be used either. Public feedings and other activities will not take place. There will be a guided tour. Please note that only 270 people may enter the zoo at any one time. There may therefore be waiting times at the entrance. We ask for your understanding.
Mouth and nose coverings must be worn in the ticket office. The usual social distancing and hygiene rules apply. Unfortunately, the play equipment, the adventure trail and the handcarts cannot yet be used.
A maximum of 230 people are allowed in the wildlife park at any one time. There may be restrictions on the network of paths. The use of play equipment and handcarts is also not yet possible.
Up-to-date information about the possibilities and conditions can be found at www.chemnitz.de and www.tierpark-chemnitz.de.
