On Saturday, 9 August at 4 pm, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Germany, Her Excellency Laila Stenseng, will sign the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze and Dr Florence Thurmes, Director General of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz.
The reason for her visit to Chemnitz is the opening of the exhibition "Edvard Munch. Fear" in the art collections.
The entry in the Golden Book will take place in the auditorium of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Theaterplatz 1, following the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which she will also attend.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
H.E. Laila Hilde Stenseng has represented the Kingdom of Norway as Ambassador to Germany since 31 May 2023. Edvard Munch (1863-1944) is Norway's most important painter and graphic artist. The exhibition "Edvard Munch. Angst" will be shown at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz from 10 August to 2 November 2025.
