Ambassador of Finland signs the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz

On Monday, 8 December at 10.30 a.m., Lord Mayor Sven Schulze will receive the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Ambassador Kai Jürgen Mikael Sauer, who will sign the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz, accompanied by his wife, Dr Erika Sauer, and Mikko Fritze, Director of the Finnish Institute in Germany.

The entry in the Golden Book will take place in the Green Parlour of the City Hall, Markt 1.

Representatives of the media are invited to attend.

The ambassador's official visit to Chemnitz will be used to discuss activities with the twin city of Tampere and the European Capital of Culture 2026, Oulu. International contacts will also be strengthened and international formats presented.

Following the meeting in the town hall, the ambassador and his entourage will meet the management of the Capital of Culture gGmbH in the Hartmannfabrik for a joint discussion and visit the Industrial Museum.
