"Am Wall" and "Am Roten Turm" park receive play points

Start of construction in the coming week

Work will begin next week to install new play equipment in the "Am Wall" area and in the "Am Roten Turm" park. The aim is to improve the quality of life in the city centre, particularly in these areas.

The play equipment "Am Wall" consists of two coloured seating and balancing elements entitled "Wandering Line" and a turntable. The equipment will be installed in the existing water-bound path surface within Kastanienallee.

A slackline will be installed across the path to prevent the existing trampling path on the green space in the "Am Roten Turm" park between the Straße der Nationen and the Stadthallenbrunnen fountain.
In addition, a play point element in the form of a leaf and a flower will be placed on either side of the slackline. These play point devices are swinging elements.

The total cost of the landscaping and play equipment is around 35,000 euros.

The construction work is being carried out by Reino GmbH from Geithain. The play equipment will be manufactured and supplied by the companies "Kinderland Emsland Spielgeräte", Geeste, and "Stilum", Kleinmaischeid. Construction is being supervised by the Parks Department.
