Alderman election 2013: Applications for the office of lay judge still possible until 30 April

Interested citizens of Chemnitz have until 30 April 2013 to apply for the honorary office of lay assessor for the 2014 to 2018 term of office at the local or regional court or as a youth lay assessor for the juvenile criminal court.

The election of lay assessors and juvenile lay assessors is based on lists of candidates to be approved by the City Council and the Youth Welfare Committee in June 2013. Those interested in the honorary office of youth lay assessor should also have experience in youth education, i.e. have raised their own children, have worked with young people in the field of education/training or as a trainer/exercise leader and be a resident of the city of Chemnitz.
