Agreement between the city and day care staff updated

At its meeting yesterday, the city council decided to update the previous agreement between the city and childminders. This will result in noticeable improvements for childminders. In addition to the additional grant of two paid training days per year, the current cash benefits have been significantly increased. This is an expression of the City of Chemnitz's appreciation of the commitment and achievements of childminders.

In addition to the necessary revision of a budgetary nature resulting from a judgement by the Leipzig Administrative Court, editorial changes and other key points were included, amended or clarified in the agreement:

For example, the use of internet-based place and occupancy management, the implementation of quality criteria in daycare, the granting of two days paid leave per year for further training, regulations on substitute care and substitution, data protection regulations and the period of validity.

The financial resources for the period 1 July to 31 December 2015 totalling 320,000 euros were made available in the 2015 budget. The effects for the following years totalling 653,345.00 euros are to be included in the budget planning from 2016.
