In the wooded area not far from Irmtraud-Morgner-Straße, where hazardous substances in ampoules were rendered harmless by the Chemnitz Police Department yesterday evening, employees of the city's Parks Department and Environmental Agency carried out a final inspection of the site today. No further hazardous substances or other residues were found. The remaining cordon will be removed on Friday.

Yesterday evening, the fire brigade had already discovered no further sources of danger around the site.
The suspicion of radioactive radiation was not confirmed on Tuesday after measurements at the site compared to the surrounding area.
