First meeting of CVAG, police and the city of Chemnitz

There will be an on-site inspection of the central bus stop area at the end of March, during which possible and necessary locations for video surveillance will be determined. The CVAG is in charge of this with the involvement of the Chemnitz Police Department and the City of Chemnitz Public Order and Civil Engineering Department. At the same time, a similar analysis is being carried out by the public order office, civil engineering office and police for the area in front of the Stadthalle.
As a result, the specific locations, technology and responsibilities are to be determined at the end of April so that the corresponding tenders can be issued and the structural preparations for the installation can be made, taking into account the forthcoming new regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act.
It will be possible to put the central bus stop area into operation once the current remodelling work has been completed.
Until the video surveillance system goes into operation, there will be increased mobile patrols by the police and the city's public order service in the relevant areas.
