Adventure land to encourage courage and self-confidence in children
Federal Centre for Health Education at the CHARLIE children's festival on the market on 27 May
On Saturday, 27 May, from 10 am to 6 pm, the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) will be represented at the CHARLIE Children's Festival with its "Kinder stark machen" (Make children strong) adventure land. The hands-on initiative for early childhood addiction prevention and life skills promotion in cooperation with the Office for Health and Prevention is taking part in the children's festival for the second time and can be found on the market directly in front of the town hall.
In the "Kinder stark machen" adventure land, everything revolves around courage, recognition and team spirit at hands-on stations such as the climbing garden and the confidence course as well as on the play stage. Adults and children can experience together how these skills can be strengthened in everyday life. In the activity area, they can build human pyramids, jump over fire poles and overcome other challenges. In this way, they learn what "being strong" can mean.
By strengthening their self-confidence and promoting their conflict and communication skills, children and young people should learn to say "no" to addictive substances of all kinds, even in the face of peer pressure. Children and young people should learn to explore their abilities and limits, deal with success and failure, trust others and resolve conflicts together. All of this helps to make children strong.
Parents and clubs can obtain information and advice on how they can strengthen their children in their everyday lives to lead an addiction-free life.
At the CHARLIE children's festival next Saturday, the city centre will be transformed into a huge adventure playground. In the Rathaus Passagen, on the Rosenhof, Neumarkt, Markt, Düsseldorfer Platz and at the Roter Turm gallery, young guests can expect numerous activities to let off steam and have fun.
