Adult education centre invites you: Workshop on citizen participation in Europe
In the run-up to the European elections, a workshop will be held at the adult education centre on Friday, 10 May 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., where citizens can find out about how they can participate in EU politics. Opportunities for citizen participation will be presented and new alternatives will be sought together with the participants. The event will take place in TIETZ, room 4.09. Admission is free.
In the wake of the European elections in May 2019, many people are asking the question: "Why the EU?" Lasting peace within Europe, democratic values, freedom to travel and greater weight in the world can be seen as progress in this respect. But what about individual citizens and their concerns? And what impact does the EU Citizens' Initiative have?
This event is a co-operation of the VHS Chemnitz with the Network for Cultural and Youth Work, the European Studies Initiative and the TU Chemnitz.
