Additional funds provided for Gablenz secondary school
At its meeting today, the city council approved an unscheduled allocation of funds in the 2022 financial year for the Gablenz secondary school.
The funds will be used to renovate and drain the sports field at Gablenz secondary school. The sports field covers an area of 5,000 square metres. The measures include the partial renovation of the running track, the reorganisation of two shot put facilities, the volleyball court and the small pitch for football, the reorganisation of the long jump facility with two run-up tracks, take-off beams and the restoration of the grass areas.
The renovation measures will be implemented in 2023. The costs are expected to amount to 350,000 euros and will be covered by key allocations for the city of Chemnitz.
