Additional car parks set up for the Helene Fischer concert
Increased traffic volume must be expected
The concert by pop singer "Helene Fischer" will take place tomorrow at 7.30 pm in the Chemnitz Arena. Around 6,500 people are expected to attend this concert. In the period from 1.00 pm to 7.30 pm and from 10.30 pm onwards, increased traffic volumes are to be expected around the Chemnitz Arena, on Zwickauer Straße and Südring. There is a risk of traffic jams on the A 72 motorway in the Chemnitz-Süd exit area and on Neefestraße.
Additional car parks have been set up for the concert (see attachment).
Car parks P0, P1, P2, P3 and P4 (EDEKA Großhandel -> Winklhoferstr.) are located in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition centre. If the above-mentioned car parks are full, there is also the option of using car park P5 (Baumarkt Leitermann -> Zwickauer Str.).

In order to ensure fast access to the Chemnitz Arena car parks, the green light time for left turns from Neefestraße into Jaenickestraße will be extended and Jaenickestraße will be widened to two lanes. Wandererstraße from Jaenickestraße in the direction of Neefestraße (Solaris) will become a one-way street.

The concert ticket entitles the holder to free travel throughout the Mittelsachsen public transport network (VMS) from 4 hours before and up to 6 hours after the event.
CVAG will relieve the public transport system with additional journeys.
The shuttle service between the main railway station - central bus stop - Chemnitz Arena will be provided by additional buses.
The scheduled bus lines 23, 43 and 1 will provide transport to the start of the event. The M1 will depart from Chemnitz Arena (Jaenickestraße stop) at 22:45 (connection guaranteed at 23:10 at ZH) and 23:20 (connection guaranteed at 23:40 at ZH) after the end of the event.
