New: Self-service terminal for recording biometric data
The biometric features required to apply for an identity document, such as photograph, fingerprints and signature, can now be recorded using a self-service terminal.

An easy-to-understand menu in several languages guides citizens step by step through the enrolment process. A member of staff is also happy to help with the enrolment of biometric data.

The fee for taking or recording the biometric data is 3.00 euros and must be paid together with the fee for the ID document when submitting the application. Citizens do not receive a printout of the photo. The costs are only incurred once.

The self-service terminal must be used before the waiting number is called up so that the data for the interview with the clerk is already available. Sufficient time should therefore be allowed for the creation of the biometric data.
