Action week on the topic of robotics

City Library: from 18 to 24 October in the BibLab-C, the library laboratory in the TIETZ

Is the answer to the big question about life, the universe and everything actually still 42? The BibLab-C invites you to meet robots, immerse yourself in the world of programming and discover science fiction horizons.

From 18 to 24 October, numerous events such as workshops, lectures and readings will take place at BibLab-C, the library laboratory of Chemnitz City Library in the TIETZ.

Admission to all events is free of charge.

Dystopia in the age of digital progress - Willi Hetze reads from "Die Schwärmer"

The fusion of humans and technology has only just begun. Implants give us new senses and network us. In his novel "Die Schwärmer", Dresden sociologist Willi Hetze sketches a new society whose members share everything with each other: Thoughts, feelings and dreams. He writes about a revolutionary future, the dawn of which we can already sense. His novel heroes portray a new type of person in the digital age: the enthusiasts.

Friday, 21 October, 3 to 4 pm, online from the RoboLab of the Bücherhallen Hamburg

RoboLab remote session

Fancy controlling a real robot? Find out what our new addition can do. At the "RoboLab Remote Session", you can programme our NAO robot online and control it remotely from the comfort of your own home.

In a short introduction, we will show you how easy it is to programme the robot. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to test your own programme on our robot. We are excited to see what you can make it do and look forward to trying it out together.

You don't need much to take part. The event takes place online via Zoom and the programming is done via the Internet browser.

Please state your age when registering! You will receive the link to the meeting and all important information from us by e-mail. Registration closes one hour before the session.
