A tribute to Jutta Müller

Ice show in honour of the deceased honorary citizen on 9 March

On Saturday, 9 March at 6 pm, an ice show will take place in the ice rink of the Chemnitz Ice Sports Centre, Wittgensdorfer Straße 2a, in honour of Jutta Müller, an honorary citizen of Chemnitz who passed away last year. This was announced today by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze in the city council.

Admission is free. Standing or seated tickets can be reserved from 10 a.m. on Thursday, 1 February via the ticket service egocentric Systems GmbH at www.chemnitz.de/juttamueller. Admission is from 5 pm.

The event is a tribute to Jutta Müller. The ice show, organised by the Chemnitzer Eislauf-Club e. V. (CEC), begins with show performances from the fields of pairs skating, ice dancing and synchronised ice skating with athletes from Chemnitz, Dresden and Berlin, among others. Among others, the ice dancing pair Charise Matthaei and Max Liebers from the local Chemnitz Ice Skating Club e. V., reigning German runners-up, have announced their attendance. In addition to the welcoming address by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katarina Witt and Gaby Seyfert, among others, will also address personal words about Jutta Müller to the guests.

The second part of the evening will be followed by an improvisation competition. Boys and girls of all ages will compete against each other, with the choice of music being drawn by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze. A jury, which will also include Katarina Witt and Gaby Seyfert, will judge the performances and select a male and female winner.
