On Tuesday, 11 February, from 9.30 a.m., pupils from the primary level of the Dr.-Lothar-Kreyssig-Schule Flöha, a special school with a focus on intellectual development, are invited to a special day of instruments at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
Representatives of the media are invited to accompany this day of instruments. The meeting point is 9.30 a.m. in the car park of the music school, when the pupils will be welcomed by the music school's teachers. It will then be possible to follow the events until 11 am. Nancy Gibson, Head of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, and Hans Fischer, Headmaster of the Dr Lothar Kreyssig School, will be available to answer questions.
Please note that the pupils of the special school specialising in mental development will be treated sensitively.
After the pupils have been welcomed, they will get to know the EWA elephant, which is located in the car park of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. EWA is a private art project by Frank Maibier, Chris Münster and music school teacher Andreas Winkler. Afterwards, elephant sounds will be imitated with the double bass in the event hall. From 10 a.m., children can try out the music school's instruments in various groups.
