9th Chemnitz Company Run - Information from the traffic authorities
The 9th Chemnitz Company Run on Wednesday (3 September) is a special running event on the Chemnitz running calendar, in which the Lauf-KulTour 2014 team will also be taking part. Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives the starting signal for the company run.
The organiser, Die Sportmacher GmbH, is expecting around 5,000 participants and is also looking forward to a corresponding number of visitors.
Start and finish in Brückenstraße: The running route from Brückenstraße (start: 18:30 pm) leads via Mühlenstraße - Georgstraße - Promenadenstraße - Schloßteichstraße to Verbindungsweg - Erich-Schmidt-Straße - Promenadenstraße - Arndtplatz - Arndtstraße - Schloßstraße - Janssenbrücke - footpath Stumpf Brückenstraße - Theaterstraße - Webergasse - Jakobikirchplatz - Markt - Neumarkt - Richard-Möbius-Straße - Am Wall - Straße der Nationen and back to the starting point and finish in Brückenstraße (appendix).

Temporary traffic restrictions are necessary for the organisation of the running event - the traffic authorities ask for your attention:
Road closures: Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße will be closed to private traffic on Wednesday from 9 am to 10 pm. Public transport services will be available on Brückenstraße until 4 pm and again from 9 pm after the end of the event.
The following roads will be closed from 6 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. to secure the running route: Theaterstraße between Hartmannstraße and Brückenstraße (towards Mühlenstraße), Mühlenstraße between Brückenstraße and Georgstraße, Georgstraße between Mühlenstraße and Promenadenstraße, Schloßstraße between Arndtstraße and Georgstraße and Promenadenstraße between Erich-Schmidt-Straße and Müllerstraße. Resident traffic will be guaranteed.
Schloßteichstraße will be used as a one-way street (in the direction of Bergstraße) from Promenadenstraße to Bergstraße from 18:00 to 19:15.
Release: The closures on the running route will be released immediately after the end of the run (approx. 19:15), the Brückenstraße will be released at 22:00.
The event will be secured by the Chemnitz Police Headquarters. CVAG will provide separate information on changes to bus and tram services - www.cvag.de
