8th Chemnitz Education Market for Sustainability
Theme this time: "Healthy soil - good food" - Date: 6 to 16 November at the Kraftwerk - approx. 600 visitors expected
Under the motto "Healthy soil - good food ", the focus will be on the development and availability of fertile soil, its properties and the soil organisms as well as the food grown on it and the food culture.
The organisers have invited pupils from primary schools on Wednesday (7 November) and from secondary schools and grammar schools on Friday (9 November). On Monday (12 November) and Wednesday (14 November), girls and boys from day-care centres in Chemnitz will be guests at the education market. A total of around 600 visitors are expected.

Background: The "Education Markets for Sustainability" have been taking place in Chemnitz since 2005 to mark the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014). They support the cause of sustainable development here in Chemnitz and are realised by a specially founded Chemnitz Education Network for Sustainability, consisting of several institutions dedicated to environmental and development education as well as external cooperation partners.
