7th Chemnitz Integration Fair
Over 20 potential employers advertise career entry in the Chemnitz region
On Wednesday, 6 June 2018, the 7th Chemnitz Integration Fair, under the patronage of Gunnar Bertram, President of the Chemnitz Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce, will open its doors to all interested parties at TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20, from 10 am to 2 pm. More than 20 employers will be presenting themselves and advertising vacancies and individual entry opportunities for a career start in the regional labour market - thus promoting "Interkultur for a strong economy". Entry is free of charge.
Petra Köpping, Saxon State Minister for Equality and Integration, will open the fair at 9.30 a.m. and use the subsequent tour with other representatives from politics and business to talk to the exhibitors. Guests of honour will be Hans-Joachim Wunderlich, Managing Director of the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Sören Ruppik, Head of the Trade Promotion Department of the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts, Katrin Heinze, Managing Director of the Chemnitz Job Centre, and the Head of the Chemnitz Job Centre.of the Chemnitz Job Centre, Angelika Hugel, Managing Director of the Federal Employment Agency, Cornelia Utech, Head of the Social Welfare Office, Ferenc Csák, Head of the Cultural Department and Gert Gauder, Managing Director of the solaris group of companies.
The 7th Chemnitz Integration Fair is aimed at migrants who are looking for an apprenticeship or job in a regional company. As usual, public authorities and integration-promoting educational and advisory institutions will also be on hand to provide visitors with information and advice for successful integration into the labour market. In addition, two "job walls" offer a good overview of specific, current vacancies. 30-minute information sessions on study opportunities at Chemnitz University of Technology, paths to self-employment and job profiles with an increased demand for labour will take place in two rooms of the adult education centre on the 4th floor.
Some exhibitors will also be offering special counselling services at their stands, e.g. Netzwerk Lebensperspektiven e.V. will be checking application folders, the Employment Agency will be advising on job profiles and IBAS Chemnitz will be providing support with the recognition of professional qualifications. A limited number of interested visitors will have the opportunity to have professional application photos taken free of charge. The fair is free of charge for all visitors. Language guides will help with communication between visitors and exhibitors and translate into Arabic, Farsi, Russian and English.
As part of the press conference from 10.30 a.m. in the "Old Cafè" on the 3rd floor, the exhibition "In Sachsen arbeiten wollen, können, dürfen..." will be opened at the same time, a documentation of very practical project experiences of the IQ Network Saxony. One of those portrayed, Fadi Alghazi from Libya, will be on site and available for interviews.
Together with the City of Chemnitz, the Chemnitz Integration Fair is organised and implemented by solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen. This event is co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament.
