60 years of readers of the city library
Wolfgang Bausch (83) has been loyal to Chemnitz City Library for six decades.
From 1958, the Chemnitz local history researcher regularly visited the library in the building on Schillerplatz and later at the new TIETZ location to research regional history topics. He published numerous articles on history in the daily press, magazines and other publications. He has been a member of the Chemnitz Historical Society since 1990.
Even at an advanced age, Wolfgang Bausch does not give up his favourite library service. He uses the city library's mobile delivery service and has the literature he wants delivered to his home by volunteer members of the library support association.
To mark the anniversary, Elke Beer, Director of the City Library, congratulated the longstanding library customer yesterday with a certificate and a bouquet of flowers.
