5th Chemnitz Reading Night on 26 May at the TIETZ

Award ceremony "Chemnitzer Stadtgeschichten", book market, readings, live music, puppet show, reading stage with André Herrmann & Ahne

Next Saturday, 26 May, Chemnitz authors, literary associations, writing workshops, publishers, bookshops and antiquarian bookshops will present themselves at the Chemnitz Reading Night at the TIETZ with a large book market from 3 to 10 p.m. around the petrified forest. The winners of the "Chemnitz City Stories" competition will be honoured and read their stories. There will also be a varied literary programme, puppet shows, live music, games and hands-on activities for the whole family. Finally, at around 8 pm, the well-known reading stage authors André Herrmann (Lesebühne Schkeuditzer Kreuz, Comedy mit Karsten) and Ahne (Surfpoeten, Reformbühne Heim & Welt) will present their best and funniest texts. Admission is free.

The Chemnitz Reading Night is organised by Kulturbetrieb/Stadtbibliothek Chemnitz in cooperation with Romance Cultural Studies/TU Chemnitz and Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau. In 2018, the event is part of the Chemnitzer Stadtgeschichte_n project(www.chemnitzer-stadtgeschichten.de) to mark the city's 875th anniversary and is sponsored by Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.
