50 years of the Grüna carnival club: Mayor welcomes members of the carnival club and guests from Cologne

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Grüna carnival club, Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes members of the club from the Grüna district of Chemnitz and their guests from Cologne - a delegation with marching band and city soldiers from the Cologne Funken Artillerie blau weiß von 1870.
A total of 100 participants are expected to attend the reception on Saturday, 17 August at 3:30 pm on the Neumarkt at Chemnitz Town Hall: After a musical welcome by the marching band of the Cologne Funken Artillerie on the Neumarkt, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig and Mayor Miko Runkel invite the guests to the 2nd floor of the Town Hall for the official welcome. Doorman Stefan Weber will be happy to guide guests through the representative rooms - the City Council Chamber, Green Salon and Council Chamber - which are also open, and will also be on hand to provide explanations.
After the reception, Mayor Ludwig and Mayor Runkel will travel by bus to Grüna at around 4.30 pm together with the Grüna club members and the guests from Cologne to take part in the event "50 years of the founding of the Grünaer Faschingsclub e. V.", which begins at 5 pm in the marquee.
The event is part of the programme for the 750th anniversary celebrations of the Grüna district.
