4th symposium on integration practice
Information and exchange event for "practitioners"
On 25 January 2017, 9 a.m., the fourth symposium on integration practice will begin in the canteen of the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts, Limbacher Straße 195, 09116 Chemnitz. The event will begin with a welcome from Frank Wagner, President of the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts and Trades, and will include presentations from Thomas Ewald, Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, Jens Löschner, State Directorate of Saxony and Thomas Wabst, Head of the Migration, Integration, Housing Department at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, among others, until 12 noon.
After the information on current developments at federal, state and municipal level in the first part of the conference, the participants will come together in the second part for joint workshop work. This time, for example, they will discuss the use of interpreters, immigrants from the European Union, the perception of safety in the neighbourhood and the role of religion in integration.
The information and exchange event is organised in cooperation with the IHK and HWK and is aimed at practitioners from migration social work, i.e. from social care, accommodation and other care for asylum seekers and other immigrants. There are currently over 130 registrations.
