3rd Stefan Heym Talk: Joachim Walther reads at Villa Esche

The writer Joachim Walther will be a guest in the Stefan Heym Talks series of events on Thursday, 10 October at 7 pm. The author will be reading from his novel "Himmelsbrück", published by Mitteldeutscher Verlag Halle in 2009, at Villa Esche. After the reading, there will be an opportunity to talk to Joachim Walther.

Born in Chemnitz in 1943, Joachim Walther studied at Humboldt University in Berlin, worked as an editor and publisher and was editor of the literary magazine "Temperamente". His first novel "Sechs Tage Sylvester" was published in 1970. Joachim Walther has been a freelance writer since 1983 and has published novels, short stories, radio plays and theatre plays.

In his novel "Himmelsbrück", the author poses the question of the right life in the wrong one in an exciting and surprising way. The 3rd Stefan Heym Talk will be moderated by Bernd Ruscher, Director of TIETZ and member of the Programme Advisory Board of the International Stefan Heym Society.

Admission to the event costs 8 euros per person, members of the Stefan Heym Society pay 5 euros.
