3rd carers' day in Chemnitz
Topic: 20 years of guardianship law - what was, what is and what will be? Citizens are cordially invited to the event on 28 November - please register in advance
The Carers' Day organised by the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office will take place on Wednesday, 28 November 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ballroom of the Clinic for Psychiatry, Behavioural Medicine and Psychosomatics (located at Dresdner Straße178).
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
Following the very positive response to the 2nd Caregiver Day organised last year on the topic of "Health care for the caregiver", this year's event is dedicated to the past 20 years of caregiver law and will, above all, deal with the future tasks of this specialist field in the coming years.

According to the Social Welfare Office, the event is aimed at all interested carers, judges and judicial officers as well as all partners of the Care Network in Chemnitz. Chief physician Dr Thomas Barth and Holger Hagemann, social worker at the Clinic for Psychiatry, Behavioural Medicine and Psychosomatics, will speak on the main topic on the agenda of the 3rd Caregiver Day. Lawyer Jürgen Rutsatz will report on the project "Avoidance of measures involving deprivation of liberty", and Alexander Laviziano from the Association of Professional Carers will deal with current topics in care law in his presentation and venture a look ahead to the year 2022.
In the afternoon of the event day, there will be a panel discussion: The panellists will be Ministerialrat Mathias Kühn, Ministry of Justice for Saxony and Europe, Alexander Laviziano, Association of Professional Carers, Fred Fiedler, professional carer and Evelin Rümmler, local care authority at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office.
