3,000 users of the City of Chemnitz employee app SVC2go
On Friday, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze welcomed Gert-Hendrik Heberer from the Chemnitz fire brigade, the 3,000th user of the SVC2go employee app. This means that two thirds of the City of Chemnitz's employees have been registered in the app since its launch at the end of August 2019.
"We are delighted that so many of our employees have registered in the app. It shows how much they identify with their employer, the City of Chemnitz. The app provides them with all relevant information for their day-to-day work as well as the latest news from the City of Chemnitz on their own smartphone, tablet or computer. Especially in times of increasing home office, it is important to always stay up to date and, above all, to be able to communicate directly with decision-makers or superiors. ", says Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
In addition to accessing information and news from the City of Chemnitz, employees can use the app to ask questions directly about any information, communicate with each other via chat, share images on the online pinboard and comment on them.
Ralph Burghart, Mayor for Human Resources, Finance and Organisation and the Fire Department, also took the opportunity to congratulate the new app: "The employee app is a very good source of information, especially for the comrades in the fire brigade. They do not work at a computer workstation and therefore do not have daily access to the City of Chemnitz intranet. That's why the app is used very intensively by the firefighters."
The software for the app comes from Chemnitz-based start-up Staffbase, which was founded in 2014 and has since established itself as the market leader in the field of employee apps.
