30 km/h on Chemnitztalstraße near Glösaer Straße
Since last weekend, the speed limit on Chemnitztalstraße at Glösaer Straße has been 30 km/h. The speed limit has been reduced to 30 km/h as traffic accidents have become more frequent at this junction.
So far this year, nine accidents with two minor injuries have been recorded. Last year, the police recorded seven accidents in which one person was seriously injured and two people suffered minor injuries. From 2018 to 2019, there were nine accidents with personal injuries, in which one person was seriously injured and eleven people suffered minor injuries. This junction therefore fulfils the criteria of an accident blackspot.
Following a local accident investigation, the accident commission has ordered a 30 km/h speed limit in the junction area and a stop sign on Glösaer Straße.
Drivers are asked to pay particular attention.
