2nd Chemnitz Freeathlon on 19 June
On Friday, 19 June, the second "Chemnitz Freeathlon" for girls, young women and interested parties will take place in the Uferpark am Schlossteich .
At the "Chemnitz Freeathlon", female visitors from Chemnitz will have the opportunity to try their hand at various sporting and creative activities. They will gain an insight into the variety of different indoor and outdoor activities. The focus is on having fun being active, promoting team spirit and, above all, boosting the participants' self-esteem.
From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., countless exciting activities and sporting pursuits await the participants, such as skating on a mini ramp, slackline, archery, climbing, football, volleyball or basketball, American football with kit, baseball and softball, mini golf, ultimate frisbee, juggling, table tennis, target fishing and dancing. There will also be creative activities such as designing T-shirts and shopping bags.
There will also be a stage programme with "Kunos Kinderkiste", 4 different bands and musicians will demonstrate their skills. There will be a DJane workshop and a Zumba programme.
The 2nd "Chemnitz Freeathlon" will also take place within the nationwide campaign week "Alcohol - less is better". A quiz will give participants the opportunity to identify and scrutinise their own habits and sensitivities in relation to alcohol and win prizes. Numerous information materials on the subject of alcohol can also be viewed and taken away.
Catering will be provided. There will be non-alcoholic cocktails, fruit skewers, tasty soups and sausages.
