23rd Saxon Health Week from 23 to 27 May

The Saxon Health Week has been organised throughout Saxony since 1994. The health authorities organise a variety of events together with associations and clubs. These range from discussion groups and specialist lectures to sports events and cookery festivals with interesting facts about healthy eating. The aim is to sensitise the public to the topic, impart relevant knowledge and motivate them to lead a healthy lifestyle beyond the Health Week.

This year, the Chemnitz Health Department is focusing on kindergarten children and is organising various events in kindergartens together with the Consumer Advice Centre.

In addition, contact persons from the individual departments will be available to answer questions and hold discussions on Tuesday, 24 May from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the public health department. The free offer includes

  • Counselling sessions on topics such as vaccination, hygiene, nutrition, infectious diseases and oral hygiene in the consultation room (room 434) as well as
  • Measurement and evaluation of various vital signs in the foyer of the public health department.

All interested citizens are cordially invited to the public health department on this day.
