22nd Chemnitz Cycling Day starts on 15 September
The city of Chemnitz is once again organising the popular tour for cycling fans this year. There are two cycle routes to choose from - the family cycle route (distance: 8 km) and a sporty route (distance: 20 km). This event has a variety of offers for families with children.
As usual, there will be an event area at the VITA-CENTER with numerous sporting activities as well as a wide range of information about cycling. For example, children can try out the bike course, climbing games and a bouncy castle. With all this action, you will of course need a "cyclist's snack" to keep you going. This will also be provided.
Participants will meet on 15 September from 9 a.m. at Am Wall/ Richard-Möbius-Straße. The family cycle tour, which is around nine kilometres long, will start an hour later, as will the 20 km circular route. The destination in both cases is the VITA-CENTER. The family tour will reach the centre at around 10.45 am. This is where it ends. However, those who want to continue on the 20 kilometre circuit will meet at the upper main entrance west of the mall at around 11 am. The 20 kilometre distance will be behind the riders at around 1 p.m., who can then enjoy a refreshing drink and refreshments at the VITA-CENTER.

- Anyone overtaking the leading police car or the stewards in the lead leaves the event and rides at their own risk.
- The group gathers before crossing main roads and waits for instructions from the police and stewards.
- The participants of the cycle tour must behave in accordance with the regulations of the StVO when travelling to the start.
- If cyclists decide not to continue during the ride, they must leave the group on their own responsibility.
- Experience has shown that the cycle tour is too strenuous for children under the age of 8.
