21st Chemnitz Museum Night on Industrial Culture
With a night tour of industrial culture at 15 locations in Chemnitz, Oelsnitz/Erzgeb. and Mittweida - on 17 October 2020, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The Chemnitz Museum Night of Industrial Culture will take place this year on 17 October from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 15 different locations in Chemnitz, Oelsnitz/Erzgeb. and Mittweida.
For the 21st Museum Night, Chemnitz museums, collections, galleries and institutions will be organising a multifaceted programme of exhibitions and activities for the first time together with museum institutions from the Chemnitz cultural region. The framework is provided by the Year of Industrial Culture 2020 in Saxony and the 4th Saxon State Exhibition "Boom. 500 Years of Industrial Culture in Saxony".
The venues for the state exhibition are: MaschinenBoom. Chemnitz Industrial Museum, Railway Boom. Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf and Schauplatz KohleBoom. Mining Museum Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge.
Shuttle service: In addition to the regular CVAG and VMS bus and train services, the participating museums and institutions can also be reached by shuttle bus and train.
Tickets: Museum Night tickets for 10 euros, concessions 5 euros, are also valid as travel tickets. Admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 18. Advance booking: from 28 September at the CVAG Mobility Centre, at the Tourist Information Office and at the participating museums and institutions during opening hours.
