#200malmarx in Chemnitz
City of Chemnitz launches Instagram photo competition
To mark the 200th birthday of the philosopher Karl Marx, the city of Chemnitz is launching a photo competition on the social media platform Instagram on 5 May 2018. Under the hashtag #200malmarx, Chemnitz residents are invited to publish pictures on the topic of "Chemnitz and Karl Marx - yesterday and today". The aim is to upload at least 200 pictures with the hashtag to Instagram.
The conditions of participation are simple and can be completed in three steps: Become a fan of the Instagram page @marx.in.chemnitz, take a picture on the topic, post this picture with the hashtag #200malmarx and link the channel @marx.in.chemnitz in the picture description.
A jury will select the 20 best pictures and show them on the Instagram account @marx.in.chemnitz in July. The Instagram community will then be called upon. The ten pictures with the most likes will be shown in a photo exhibition at the end of August.
All participants can upload their photo of Chemnitz and Karl Marx until 30 June 2018. The detailed conditions of participation for the photo campaign can be found HERE.
