17th Chemnitz Reading Advent starts
City Library: Readings on 28 November and on 5, 12 and 19 December, each at 5 pm, TIETZ
This year's Chemnitz Reading Advent starts on Thursday, 28 November. The series on four Thursdays in November and December, each at 5 pm, offers a moment to pause and reflect in the often hectic pre-Christmas period. The venue is the Central Library in the TIETZ. Admission is free of charge.
Personalities from Chemnitz will read texts on the theme of arrival and Advent and will be interviewed by Pastor Stephan Tischendorf about themselves and their current projects. The events will be accompanied by music performed by pupils from the Municipal Music School and recorded and subsequently broadcast by the community radio station Radio T.
The dates - each Thursday, 5 pm
- 28 November: Angela Malz, Director of the University Library at Chemnitz University of Technology,
- 5 December: Marko Roscher, Sustainability Officer at the Federal Association of the Event Industry,
- 12 December: Anne Bayer, Head Coordinator at the outpatient children's hospice service Schmetterling & Westsachsen,
- 19 December: Katharina von Storch, works for the Capital of Culture intervention area Garagen-Campus and initiated the projects Chemnitz Untold and Gute Zieten e. V.
The Chemnitz Reading Advent is a project organised by the Evangelical Forum and the City Library in cooperation with Radio T e. V. and the Municipal Music School.
