16th neighbourhood festival at Luisenplatz

On 9 September 2017 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents, clubs and institutions, tradespeople and schools will be presenting themselves for the 16th time on 9 September with many entertaining and informative offers at over 30 stands. Activists from the neighbourhoods of Schloßchemnitz, Kaßberg and Altendorf will be on site. "Our neighbourhood in full force at the 16th Luisenfest in Chemnitz Mitte-West" is this year's motto.

The neighbourhood management and the community centre at Leipziger Straße 39 under the auspices of Neue Arbeit Chemnitz e.V. have once again taken on the main organisation this year.

The meadow will be transformed into a colourful playground from 2 pm. With games of skill for body and mind, pony rides, climbing station, monkey swing (giant pendulum), airtrack track and bouncy castles, couch lounge, glitter tattoos, face painting, children's clothes flea market, wheel of fortune, giant chess, buttons, football course, history quiz about the neighbourhood, bookworm corner, various sports and big games, energy bike, build your own insect hotels, numerous creative activities, all kinds of culinary delights from the international kitchen, e.g. langos, but also good food.For example, langos, but also good food from the barbecue, waffles, popcorn and candy floss and much more, everyone is sure to find their own personal highlight.

The multi-faceted potpourri of magic, singing, breakdancing and dance choreographies with TG Saphir e.V., traditional dances, live music with SAWA SAWA and the brass band as well as the Küchwaldbühne theatre choir from the play Jim Knopf will make the stage programme a crowd-puller until around 8 pm.
