The Chemnitz School Theatre Week is now in its 16th edition and will once again be prepared and carried out in 2014 under the auspices of the City of Chemnitz/School Administration Office and Städtische Theater Chemnitz gGmbH. The first stage was successfully completed with the end of the application period: A total of 27 institutions from the city and region with 30 plays applied to take part in the 16th School Theatre Week from 23 to 28 March in Chemnitz. Now the jury is once again spoilt for choice and has to make a selection from all the applicants on its tour.
This year's jury is once again made up of representatives from the Saxon Education Agency, Städtische Theater Chemnitz gGmbH and the City of Chemnitz School Administration Office. At the end of the jury tour, it will be decided which school theatre groups will finally take part in the 16th Chemnitz School Theatre Week - by 30 January, all applicant schools will receive information about the jury's decision by fax and thus an invitation to take part in the 16th Chemnitz School Theatre Week and thus "to the boards that mean the world".
Representatives of the editorial offices, journalists and photographers are cordially invited to accompany the work of the jury and thus already the preparation of the 16th Chemnitz School Theatre Week in their media. Press dates to note - Information for editorial offices:
The handover of the CVAG bus advertising for the 16th Chemnitz School Theatre Week will take place during a press event on 3 March 2014. The regular press conference before the opening of the School Theatre Week will take place on 17 March 2014.
Media representatives will again receive an invitation to both dates in good time via the City of Chemnitz press office.

11 grammar schools with 14 plays; 6 secondary schools with 6 plays; 7 primary schools with 7 plays; 2 special schools with 2 plays; 1 other institution with 1 play.
10 institutions from Chemnitz with 12 plays:
4 grammar schools with 6 pieces; 2 secondary schools including 1 community school - CSM; 2 independent primary schools; 1 special school; 1 other institution.
17 institutions from the region with 18 pieces:
7grammar schools with 8 pieces; 4 secondary schools; 5 primary schools and 1 special school.
