15th Chemnitz Education Market for Sustainability
Invitation to the photo session: 15 November, 8.30 a.m. to 12 noon, power station
The Chemnitz Education Market for Sustainability is taking place until Friday, 15 November. The initiators of the Chemnitz Education Network for Sustainability and numerous co-operation partners are offering sustainable development topics for schoolchildren and kindergarten children. The Environmental Library of the Environmental Centre will introduce children from Chemnitz kindergartens to apple varieties from an orchard. Representatives of the media can attend the last event day of 2019 tomorrow from 8.30 am to 12 noon at the Kraftwerk, Kaßbergstraße 36. The contact person on site is Ingrid Kasiske from the Environmental Library.
Biodiversity, raw material diversity, international food and cultural diversity are just some of the topics on offer for pupils from primary and secondary schools, grammar schools and nurseries. A total of over 500 children and young people are registered for the event days from 4 to 15 November at the Kraftwerk.
The Chemnitz Environmental Centre, Sächsische Landesstiftung Natur und Umwelt, Verbraucherzentrale Sachsen, solaris FzU gGmbH Sachsen, Kraftwerk e.V., Staatsbetrieb Sachsenforst, Interkultureller Garten, Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz, Abfallentsorgungs- und Stadtreinigungsbetrieb, Arthur e.V., Radio T, Gesundheitsamt der Stadt Chemnitz, the Natura Miriquidica Pobershau association and Weltladen Chemnitz have been working together for many years on the educational market for sustainability. The "Educational Markets for Sustainability" have been held in Chemnitz since 2005.
