15th Chemnitz Balloon Festival - traffic restrictions
From Friday, 17 May, 11 a.m. to Sunday, 19 May, 9 p.m.
The 15th Chemnitz Balloon Festival will take place on the festival meadow in Küchwaldpark from 17 to 19 May.
To ensure the access and exit of the emergency services (police, rescue services and fire brigade) and local residents, it will be necessary to close the following roads to through traffic from 11 a.m. on Friday, 17 May to 9 p.m. on Sunday, 19 May:
Küchwaldring, Küchwaldstraße, Ludwigstraße and Kesselgarten as well as Dorotheenstraße, Altendorfer Straße and Glauchauer Straße. Only residents will be able to drive through.
Car parks:
There are only a limited number of parking spaces at the event venue itself. Visitors to the Balloon Festival can use the car parks at the ice stadium (approx. 500 spaces) and the car park on Leipziger Straße/Hehe Gottfried-Keller-Straße (approx. 60 spaces). We kindly ask you to use local public transport.

Bus line 21:
Please use the bus stops along Leipziger Straße. Line 21 runs every 10 minutes on Friday, every 15 minutes on Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday.

CityBahn line C13:
hourly from the direction of Chemnitz Bernsdorf and the city centre or from the direction of Burgstädt with no change of trains, alighting at the newly built stop to Küchwald.
