14th Chemnitz City Run
Information on traffic restrictions on 7 May
Next Sunday, 7 May, Laufszene Events GmbH is organising the
14th Chemnitz City Run. The organisers are expecting up to 2,000 participants and are hoping for a corresponding number of visitors.
The Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Mühlenstraße will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday for the set-up and dismantling work. The following additional closures will be necessary to secure the running route:
- Georgstraße between Mühlenstraße and Promenadenstraße from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Mühlenstraße between Stadtbad and Georgstraße from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Promenadenstraße near the Schlossteich crossing area from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Resident traffic on Mühlenstraße will be guaranteed up to Rochlitzer Straße.
Police officers from the Chemnitz Police Headquarters will be deployed at traffic hotspots.
Visitors and residents of the city centre should observe the traffic signs indicating the risk of traffic jams and diversion recommendations. It is also recommended to approach the city centre from the north via Reichsstraße, Zwickauer Straße and Bahnhofstraße and to use public transport.
