12th Reading Advent
Chemnitz personalities read Christmas texts - at the TIETZ
The City Library and the Evangelical Forum have been jointly organising the Reading Advent series for twelve years. On four afternoons in December, personalities from Chemnitz read Christmas texts and engage in dialogue with Pastor Dorothee Lücke or Pastor Stephan Brenner.
The readings take place on Thursdays at 5 pm in the TIETZ, Culture & Countries library area. Admission is free.
This year's guests are on:
- 29 November: René Schmidt, dramaturge for drama and puppet theatre at Chemnitz Theatre
- 6 December: Hans-Hermann Schmidt, musician (violin) of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra Chemnitz and director of the Convivium Musicum Chemnicense ensemble
- 13 December: Frédéric Bußmann, General Director of the Chemnitz Art Collections
- 20 December: Petra Zais, Member of the Saxon State Parliament/Greens and City Councillor in Chemnitz
