12th children's conference

Invitation to the photo session: Monday, 29 October, 2 p.m., in the City Council Chamber of Chemnitz City Hall

On Monday 29 October at 2 pm, the 12th Children's Conference will start in the City Council Chamber of Chemnitz City Hall. Children from Chemnitz primary schools will discuss various topics.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to the photo opportunity at the beginning of the conference at 2 pm. The subsequent workshops are closed to the public. At around 4 pm, the pupils will then report on the results of the workshops in the city council chamber. Representatives of the press are again welcome to attend.

The motto of the conference is: Participate, join in, help shape - MMM. Nancy Gibson, Head of the Municipal Music School, will open the conference with a canon. It is a tradition to start with the children's song "It takes little to be happy". The children then come together in six working groups, which are led by staff from the Chemnitz Health Department, UNICEF, the City Library and the independent youth welfare organisations INPEOS e.V., solaris FZU and the Network for Culture and Youth. The topics in the workshops are: "How feelings influence the peace of school", "My voice counts!", "Who am I - What can I do!", "Bullying, what is it?", "Nutrition house - my primary school" and "Learning through play".

After the workshops, the Johanneum presents the young participants with games as a small thank-you gift.
