11th Chemnitz Reading Advent in the Chemnitz City Library
Chemnitz personalities read Christmas texts - actress Annett Renneberg recites her favourite Christmas stories
The City Library and the Protestant Forum have been jointly organising the Reading Advent series for eleven years. On four afternoons in December, personalities from Chemnitz read Christmas texts and are in dialogue with pastor Dorothee Lücke.
The readings take place on Thursdays at 5 pm in the TIETZ, in the Culture & Countries library area. Admission is free.
This year's guests are the form designer Prof. Clauss Dietel on 30 November, the managing director of Schönherrfabrik, Birgit Eckert, on 7 December, the ballet director Sabrina Sadowska on 14 December and Thilo Götz, director of Clubkino Siegmar, on 21 December.
The highlight of each year's Reading Advent is an event with a prominent artist. Past guests have included Otto Mellies, Dieter Bellmann, Sabine Ebert, Gisela May, Carmen Rohrbach, Gojko Mitić, Thomas Bille, Jörg Schüttauf and Gabriela and Michael Gwisdek in front of an enthusiastic audience.
On Wednesday, 13 December at 7 pm, actress Annett Renneberg, known as Signorina Elettra and as the new doctor in the hit series "In aller Freundschaft", will present a cheerful and contemplative Christmas programme in the TIETZ Central Library.
Tickets at a price of 12 euros, concessions 8 euros, can be reserved by calling
