11 new micro-projects approved for the Capital of Culture

Invitation to the press breakfast: Friday, 25 May, 9 a.m. at the Capital of Culture Office, Rosenhof 6

The Capital of Culture Office invites you to a press breakfast on Friday, 25 May at 9 a.m. and presents the eleven new micro-projects with which Chemnitz residents are participating in the application process for the title of European Capital of Culture 2025.

The second round of applications for creative projects as part of the European Capital of Culture bid came to an end on 30 March 2018. The jury received almost 60 project applications, eleven of which will now receive funding totalling around 18,500 euros. These include a neighbourhood festival, a river exploration, a percussion festival, concert series, citizen participation formats and a special dance workshop.

At the press breakfast, Ferenc Csák, project manager of the Capital of Culture application, jury member Boris Kaiser and various project organisers of the approved microprojects will talk about the idea of microproject funding as well as the upcoming projects in concrete terms.
